Roux(update 9/28/09) Roux has come into his own. He is totally housetrained to a doggie door. He is sweet and loving and got the cutest personality. We are ready to find that perfect, forever home for Roux. Roux has a beautiful, full, coat of red and white hair and does not shed. Roux is still a work in progress.We will take applications, butwe do not release our dogs until they areback to 100% health.He came to us with skin irritation that had resulted in loss of approx 40% of his gorgeous red hair. The vet said he had severe allergic dermatitis due to fleas. The vet analyzed 2 skin scrap samples to verifyno mange present. He is recovering nicely and his hair is coming back. The skin on his legs is still a little pink. We must get this totally cleared up before he can go to hisforever home.Let's talk about Roux's breed. I swear I cannot tell for sure if he is pekingese or shih tzu. He has physical characteristics of both breeds. Maybe when his hair is completely grown back in, I will be able to tell for sure. He does not shed, so there must be some shih tzu in him.Roux is approximately 2 years old, has been neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm tested with occult test and on heartworm preventative.Roux loves his crate and when the door is left open, he often chooses to go there and nap.
