10/29/09 Sunny is now spayed. Unfortunately she is heartworm positive and will need to be trated before adoption. She is still the happiest, friendliest dog you will EVER meet. 09/15/09 Sunny has to finish nursing her pups and she will be fully vetted and ready for adoption. It will be a few months. She weighs 7 pounds, about one year old, and she is the happiest dog you will ever meet. She is like a big ray of sunshine. More updates and photos later.Sunny and her babies came to The Poodle Patch in late August. The babies were only a few days old and still had their eyes shut. They were part of a kennel closing/raid which involved around 100 dogs of multiple breeds. We heard there may be Poodles in need and offered to help. Sunny and her family were brought here to The Poodle Patch. Since she was the only Poodle, we also rescued a Chihuahua (Bianca) and a couple of Dachshunds(Slinky and Marvin). The dogs who were not rescued or adopted were living on VERY limited (48 hours we were told) time. So we took as many as we could to help All of our pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated including rabies, parasite free, heartworm negative or treated if needed, on prevention, on flea/tick prevention.
