Phlebotomy Certification
This program was designed for new students in the health field and healthcare professionals (MA, EMT, LVN, RN, CNA, NA), who work for, or plan to work for, a doctor's office, hospitals, clinic or other healthcare provider that is a licensed clinical laboratory or public health agency. The 4-week training program provides both classroom and practical instruction in the art of drawing blood. Lectures cover the theory, anatomy and terminology pertaining to the circulatory system. Practical instruction provides hands-on training in venipuncture collection procedure using a butterfly, vacutainer and a syringe as well as how to dispense blood into tubes following syringe collection. The students work in teams, drawing on one another. Upon completion of the program the student will receive our certificate of completion and national license.
Cost: $1100 Course Length: 4 weeks with clinicals (Saturday) 8am-12pm Date: Starts October 10, 2009
